About Us

Eastview Christian Church is an independent church with a shared heritage with the Christian Churches/Churches of Christ of the Restoration Movement. We are a non-denominational church that seeks to return to simple, New Testament Christianity. Our history in the Cedar Rapids area dates back to the fall of 1964.

Our Values: Our values are the things that we hold dear. They give us a sense of direction. Here is what we value:

• To be intentionally relational with God, through worship.
  • Romans 12:1- "Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God--this is your true and proper worship."
    
• To be intentionally relational with others, through fellowship and service.
  
  • Hebrews 10:24-25- "And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching."
• To intentionally share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone that we encounter.
  • Matthew 28:18-20- "Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
