About Eastview

- Eastview is an independent church with a shared heritage with the Christian Churches/Churches of Christ of the restoration movement. We are a non-denominational church that seeks to return to simple, New Testament Christianity. Our history in the Cedar Rapids area dates back to the fall of 1964.
- Our approach to ministry is based on Ephesians 4:12 "to equip God’s people for works of service, so the body of Christ may be built up."
- There is no "clergy/laity" distinction at Eastview. We believe that all Christians are ministers. We minister in different ways and in different contexts, but no form of ministry is valued or esteemed above another.
- Our ministry is directed by God through the wisdom and oversight of Godly men who serve as elders. The staff ministers provide leadership and equipping for our ministry teams, comprised of men and women of the congregation who use their gifts and talents to minister in a variety of ways.
