At Eastview, our ministry teams oversee the general needs and activities.
Please review the list of opportunities below and choose one that is right for you...
- Benevolence - Offers compassionate assistance to church members who are in need. Assistance may include financial counseling, referral to a community agency, or financial aid.
- Building - Provides for the care and upkeep of our physical property in order to provide a safe, functional, and attractive environment for on site ministry to take place.
- Care Ministry - Works as a compassionate ministry to those who are suffering physically, emotionally, or spiritually. This may involve providing meals for the sick, visiting in hospitals, or providing for grieving families in a time of death.
- Children's Ministry - Oversees Biblical instruction for all ages through Sunday School classes, while providing for the spiritual nurture of our children, fifth grade and younger, through the mid-week E-KLUB (Eastview Kids Learning and Understanding the Bible) program and various special activities.
- Finance - Provides responsible management of the church's finances through annual budget oversight, accounting, bill paying, and record keeping.
- Grounds - Sees to the exterior needs of our physical property such as lawn care, snow removal, and landscaping.
- Prayer - Works to keep the church as a whole, as well as individual Christians, committed to and engaged in prayer.
- Small Groups - Provides for the strengthening of the Christian's faith though LIFE Groups (Learning the Bible, Interceding through prayer, Fellowshipping with friends, and Encouraging one another). These are comprised of Sunday School classes, and weekly Bible studies both on site and in members' homes.
- Special Events/Evangelism - This team organizes major events like the Living Nativity and the Neighborhood Block Party, as well as planning interesting seminars like Answers In Genesis, Living In the Last Days, or Marriage Enrichment, in order to help us connect with our local community. Through these activities we seek to establish opportunities for sharing the message of forgiveness and salvation through Jesus Christ.
- Student Ministries/Next Generation - This team focuses on making disciples of jr high, high school, and college age young people, developing a faith that will continue into adulthood.
- Volunteer Ministry - Seeks to help individuals identify their unique giftedness for service in the church and to connect them with the appropriate ministry in order to serve effectively and joyfully.
- Worship Ministry - Through the use of music, drama, and much more this team endeavors to lead the congregation in vibrant worship each Sunday. They also plan a number of special worship events throughout the year.
- Missions - This team keeps us focused on the Biblical mandate to share the good news of Jesus Christ both at home and abroad. Through educational programs, guest speakers, and financial commitment we stay connected with the worldwide missionary effort. Our supported missionaries are:

- Campus Christian Fellowship
- Northeast Iowa Christian Service Camp
