Jesus said that He came to earth not to be served, but to serve, and did so by laying His life down for each of us. He showed us that true love is expressed when we serve others.
At Eastview, we use three aspects of service:
- Serve Eastview
- Serve our Community
- Serve the World
Serve Eastview - the Bible often describes the local congregation as a body. And like a body, our desire is to stay healthy and grow. This requires all of our members to help in the activities and upkeep.
Serve our Community means to partner with an outside ministry in our area to grow God's kingdom or to lend a helping hand in our community.
Serve the World is our desire is to reach beyond the walls of our local congregation and to reach beyond the borders of our local community through prayer, developing strategic partnerships with people and/or groups who are willing to work in foreign missions, involving people in short-term trips, and providing resources.
